I have, for a decade or more, visited the Aude department in south-west France several times a year. When there, I attend the English speaking church in Mirepoix and have been invited to preach on many occasions. I take this extremely seriously for, although I can put the letters AKC after my name (which means I passed a theology examination before graduating from King’s College, London) I am not a trained theologian. But I am a committed Christian and, I hope, a probing thoughtful one. Most of these sermons are exploratory and do not pretend to give answers or indeed any perspective ratified by a Church authority. I hope, however, that they invite others to think deeply about the important things in life and recognise the profound influence that humane Christian living has brought to bear on the world.
